CRUEL GAMER POLICY
Privacy
Effective with Cruel Gamer 3.0. This operational policy should be reviewed by qualified counsel for the operator’s location and audience before public launch.
Information we process
Account and profile fields; content you publish; private messages; room memberships; moderation, appeal, security, and audit records; upload metadata; session and abuse-prevention data; and only the optional Discord, Steam, Twitch, YouTube, browser-notification, catalog, or analytics data you choose to enable. Provider secrets and tokens are encrypted at rest and omitted from member exports.
Why we use it
To authenticate accounts, deliver community features, enforce permissions, prevent spam and abuse, investigate security events, handle moderation and appeals, fulfill support or legal requests, and operate optional integrations with your explicit consent. Product analytics is off for a member until consent is granted and honors withdrawal, Global Privacy Control, and Do Not Track.
Optional providers
Linking a provider is not required for core accounts, forums, messages, or game rooms. Before a provider receives or returns data, Cruel Gamer identifies the purpose and requested scope. You can disconnect, stop future synchronization, export the retained integration record, or request deletion from Connected accounts. Provider-side copies remain subject to that provider’s policy.
Sharing and disclosure
Data is shared only with hosting, email, security, and enabled integration providers needed to perform the requested service; with authorized staff under role-based access; when required by law; or to protect users and the service. Cruel Gamer does not sell member data.
Retention and deletion
Content remains while published or while needed for community continuity. Security, moderation, appeal, updater, and audit records may be retained for a documented safety, integrity, fraud-prevention, backup, or legal period. Revoked provider tokens and push endpoint keys are erased or cryptographically cleared. Backup copies age out under the site backup policy. Deletion requests are reviewed so required records are not silently destroyed.
Your controls
The Member Center provides profile visibility, messaging and notification choices, analytics consent, provider disconnect and deletion controls, session revocation, a machine-readable account export, and a protected deletion-request workflow. Staff privacy access is permission checked and audited.
Age and contact
Cruel Gamer is intended for people age 13 or older and is not designed to knowingly collect data from children under 13. A parent or guardian may submit a protected privacy case. Questions, access requests, corrections, objections, and deletion requests can be sent through Contact.
