Assassin Creed Spoilers

This Information Spoils The Storyline Of Assassins Creed Read At Your Own Peril!

I warned you, but you obviously don't mind since your still reading. In Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed you play two characters at once. One is Altair the other is Desmond. Only the Altair character fights, Desmond appears during the interactive story sequences.

Desmond sits on the animus. The guy by the window is a dufus and the babe is a secret assassin.

Furthermore Altair does not technically even exist. In fact none of your actions even matter at all, The entire game takes place in a computer simulation. Desmond is operating a machine called an animus and experiencing the memories of his ancestor as his DNA is being extracted.

If that sounds far out, it get's even better. Your being held hostage by the Knights Templar. You know the type dont you? Old, fat, bald, evil. Apparently they are bent on taking over the world by brainwashing it's citizens. Using advanced ancient technology to control peoples minds.

Big red button reads, Knights Templar (syke:1)

Apparently you can do everything from make toast to part the Red Sea if you posess a few shiney objects. It goes on to encourage the notion that only when man is subjugated and ruled by a single master can the world know peace. Which of course is terrible irony alluding to possible mental instability.

The assassins are by now nearly wiped out but a few still lurk in the shadows. Want to know the funny the thing about assassins? It only takes one to fudge up just about anything. The bad guys are in for bad news because not only does Altair know the secret locations to the artifcats, Desmond is about to unlock his hidden potential to kill.

At least that's what the games open ending suggests. But it's impossible not to build upon a franchise unless your story lends itself to adaptation. Creed is certainly a maliable lump. It aint perfect but it's most likely going to be just the first of many. With any luck they might even fix some of the things about the game which annoy me!

At worse maybe they will make it more like super mario brothers!

No offense to Nintendo. I actually loved that game. . .
